ership has been engaged, on a national level, with other summer camps and professionals to address the many challenges presented by COVID-19. We are proud to be an accredited camp of the American Camp Association (ACA) and have its Camp Director, Allen McBride sit on the American Camp Association - Illinois Board of Directors.
That is why we are encouraged by the link shared below. Our hope in sharing this is to provide a glimpse into what we, and other camp professionals across the US, have been diligently working and striving toward to ensure camps continue to be a fun and safe place that builds meaningful and lifelong connections.
Timber Pointe will continue to prepare for camps to begin in July and are awaiting clarification on Governor Pritzker’s “Restore Illinois” Plan shared earlier this week. In the meantime, we will continue to collaborate with other camp professionals and health officials to align our policies and procedures with the outline provided by the American Camp Association.
Camper registration is open for both Day and Overnight Camps and is subject to change based on which phase McLean County is in, come June 1st. We hope that by reviewing the outline provided by the American Camp Association it will ease concerns you may have when considering sending your child to our camp this summer.
